Administration Officer

You will work as part of a busy student facing team supporting academic staff and students within the Schools of Chemistry, Electronics & Computer Science, Physics & Astronomy and the Zepler Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnology.

The team act as a first point of contact for educational matters and support all aspects of the student lifecycle from induction through to award and graduation. This includes full maintenance of student records and support for all assessment related processes.

Excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal skills are required and you must be able to demonstrate that you can work with large data sets, accurately and within relevant policies and procedures. You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively, and will be friendly, well-organised and adaptable, taking a proactive approach in reviewing processes and practices. You must be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.

The wider teams organise specialist administration and support the Faculty in the preparation for validation of new undergraduate and postgraduate taught curriculum, student communications and representation, statutory and regulatory body monitoring, committee servicing and implementation of academic regulations and processes.
