Job Details

An opportunity has arisen within the University of Bristol occupational health service for an Occupational Health Technician to join an established team. This is an exciting and varied role which would suit either an experienced occupational health technician or an individual with experience of working in a health care setting willing to undergo the required occupational health technician related training.

We provide occupational health services to staff and some student groups within the University. As a member of the occupational health team your role will primarily involve carrying out health screening, health surveillance programmes and venepuncture, for both staff and students under the direction of the Occupational Health Manager and Occupational Health Advisors, in compliance with service protocols. You will also be involved in co ordinating and delivering wellbeing initiatives in line with University and service strategy.

You will be an Occupational Health Technician or have experience of working in a clinical role in a health care setting. You will need to be an excellent communicator and be able to work as part of a team and independently. We would welcome applicants who have worked in an occupational health setting before, however relevant training will be provided if required.

For further information or an informal discussion about the role please contact Aimee Grey aimee.grey@bristol.ac.uk or 0117 3317655

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
