Job Details

An opportunity has arisen as part of the University of Bristol's decision to divide the School of Economics, Finance and Management (EFM) into three schools; Accounting and Finance, Economics, and Management. We are looking to appoint three Senior Digital Marketing Officers to lead the digital presence of each School, effectively managing and developing webpages, social media channels, email communications, PPC campaigns and SEO.

These will be proactive, challenging and exciting roles helping to lead the development of new digital presences as well as overseeing maintenance and engagement across current webpages pages and social media platforms. The roles will also lead the execution and analysis of paid advertising campaigns across social media, search and other online media with post-activity recommendations for continuous improvement. Candidates will also be responsible for delivering the Schools' Social Media Strategy, including identifying opportunities for growth and further development.

EFM will go through a restructure over the next year, becoming three separate Schools by August 2020; Management, Economics and Accounting & Finance. From summer 2019, we will start developing three separate School web presences and establish new social media channels. This will help to express and reinforce the distinct identities of the three new Schools and support marketing objectives to a) drive student recruitment and b) raise the profile of each of the Schools.

These new roles will work alongside colleagues in several areas of the School and the External Relations Division, working with marketing, senior administration and academic colleagues. We expect the role holders to play a key part in leading the development of digital presences for the three new Schools.

Candidates should have significant experience of creating and re-developing websites, including good working knowledge of HTML. Candidates should also have a talent for knowing how and when to present digital content (web and social media channels) and a good understanding of search and digital advertising on third party sites. They will need to effectively execute and analyse paid advertising campaigns across social media, search and other online media with post-activity recommendations for continuous improvement. They will ideally have a good understanding of the use of web and social media in UK Higher Education. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are also important for these roles.

The closing date for applications is is 11.59pm on Thursday 29th August.

Interviews will take place on Monday 9th September
