Job Details

The Research Officer will primarily be engaged in completing research project-related work under the direction of the project leader at the University of Adelaide. The project is looking at maternal iodine intake, thyroid function in pregnancy and executive function of children at 6 years of age. The duties will largely involve conducting research projects. The incumbent will be expected to recruit study participants, collect data and enter the data collected into databases with minimal supervision. The Research Officer will also assist in the preparation of reports.

To be successful you will need:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research 2018 (the Code).
  • Experience in conducting research projects including recruitment of participants, data collection and data entry.
  • Well-developed effective communication skills both orally and in writing, and confidence in participant recruitment via telephone.
  • Proven ability in using word processing software Microsoft Word, databases including Excel, EndNote, and SPSS.
  • A Bachelor/Honours degree in areas related to health or nutritional sciences with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
