We are looking for one post-doctoral researcher in the field of Structural Biology and Molecular Biophysics to join the team of the Biophysical Molecular laboratory at the Department of Physics and Biophysics of the Institute of Biosciences, São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Botucatu, Brazil. The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) will provide one post-doctoral fellowship (beginning September or October/2019 and ending March 31/2020) related to a FAPESP Thematic Project entitled The filamentous fungus Neurospora crassa as a model organism for the functional characterization of proteins/transcription factors that regulate the carbohydrate metabolism (grant number 2013 / 24705-3).

The post-doctoral researcher should demonstrate previous experience with the following techniques:
  • Protein expression;
  • Protein chromatography - Protein Crystallography;
  • Small Angle X-ray Scattering;
  • Dynamic Light Scattering;
  • Circular Dichroism;
  • Fluorescence;
  • Isothermal Titration Calorimetry.

In addition, it is desirable previous experience of the candidates in fungal proteins and nuclear import related proteins.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
