The University of Queensland's Faculty of Medicine is an internationally recognised provider of world-class education and research. The research-intensive Faculty has a gross budget of almost $300 million, employs approximately 1000 continuing and fixed-term staff (headcount), has a community of more than 4000 non-salaried academic appointees and around 3200 students (headcount).The Faculty of Medicine offers Australia's largest medical degree program for graduates and school-leavers. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in the disciplines of Medicine, Health Sciences, e-Health, Mental Health, Biomedical Sciences and Public Health.
The Opportunity
The Coordinator, Teaching and Assessment Support plays a key role in the coordination and delivery of teaching and assessment support within the Medical Faculty's Student and Academic Administration. The successful appointee will develop efficient administrative services, systems and processes to ensure full support is delivered, and will build and maintain strong relationships with the key stakeholders including Medical Disciplines and Clinical Units.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess a degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience. The appointee will have a strong understanding of University policies and key administrative processes as well as significant experience using software packages such as the Microsoft Office Suite, Business Objects and Filemaker.
You will have a background in supervising staff in a high volume, service orientated environment where initiative and sound judgement is required. Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills are a must.
Remuneration
This is a full time, continuing role at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range of $85,222.69 - $93,085.99 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of 17% (total package will be in the range $99,710.56 - $109,910.60).
