Would you like to join and contribute to the vibrant History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) community at the University of Leeds, which is distinctively embedded within the interdisciplinary school of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science?

As a Teaching Fellow you will be responsible for the modules HPSC2150 'History of Science in 10 Objects' and HPSC 1050 'Darwin, Germs and the Bomb' (both taught in Semester 1); and HPSC1080 'Introduction to the History of Medicine' (taught in Semester 2). You will also participate in the assessment of student work related to this teaching (including resits in the summer) and in the case of the Level 1 modules, you will supervise and mentor postgraduate tutors who will help with the tutorials. You will undertake teaching-related administration (e.g. preparation of module documentation; administration of Course Evaluation Questionnaires; module review; and so on). You will also be asked to supervise some undergraduate Final Year Projects and to make a substantial contribution to the MA Programme in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine. You will act as a personal tutor to some of the School's undergraduates.

You will have a PhD in a relevant area and relevant teaching experience.
