Qualified Social Worker - Special Guardianship Order Team - North of Newcastle
Due to a member of staff going on sick leave our client, a local authority based in the near Newcastle is looking for a Qualified Social Worker for the SGO Team.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with complex care assessments
- Assessment of foster cares
- Supervising foster care
You will be dealing with purely short term assessments, with 1 day of duty. On average Qualified Social Workers within the team deal with an average of 3 to 4 assessments.
Due to the nature of the service and the complexity of some of the cases you will hold, they are ideally looking for someone who has worked in a high pressure environment before. However, they understand the importance of feeling like you are part of a team when working in these situations and as such have dedicated time for each social worker to have case supervision and time to work from home when possible.
