About This Opportunity

You'll gain highly regarded research and support exposure on the following externally funded projects;

• National Tree Genomics Program - Phenotype Prediction , and
• Australian Macadamia Breeding Program

Our Ideal Candidate

• Higher degree in a relevant discipline,
• Experience in;
  • use of R software package
  • management of genomic SNP and, preferably, sequence data
  • implementation of linear mixed models
• Ability to;
  • quickly develop understanding of horticultural tree crop biology
  • work independently and effectively manage own work program
  • collaborate with international scientists, knowledge of Chinese language would be an advantage
• Strong written and oral communication skills

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time fixed term position at Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $67,452.89 to $ 90,982.26 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $79,024 - $106,448 p.a.)
