Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Digital Business

Working within the Department of Marketing, Operations and Systems, you will join a team of highly qualified academics with a passion for enhancing the student experience. You will contribute to research informed and technology enabled learning and teaching on our contemporary suites of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In addition to teaching, you will undertake research and scholarly activities contributing to the Faculty's research profile and REF submission, together with contributing to consultancy, enterprise, and other income generation and business development activities.

In addition to our already running London Campus, Northumbria University has launched its new campus in the heart of the European Union in the city of Amsterdam. This provides an exciting opportunity for research and teaching activities and the successful candidate may be asked to become involved in teaching at any of our campuses or one of our other international partners.

We particularly welcome applications from candidates with expertise in teaching and research in all aspects of digital business. We were one of the first business schools to offer digital business on our curriculum. We are also expanding our digital provision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

You must have (or be close to completing) a PhD or DBA in a relevant digital business subject, ideally coupled with a record of publications. With excellent interpersonal skills, you must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge in the field and be able to teach effectively on a range of academic and professional programmes using a variety of approaches to student learning. You will possess strong quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills and ideally be a member of an appropriate professional body.
