One Direct Doctorate position with scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) is available within the scope of the Thematic Project entitled Decoding molecular and cellular aspects of Plasmodium as a tool for the development of new antimalarials.

The project will be developed at the Functional Genomics and antimalarial discovery laboratory of the Department of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo, in São Paulo, Brazil.

Our focus is to elucidate how malaria parasites use cellular signaling at various stages of their life cycle to explore new forms of clinical intervention.
For this purpose we combine several methodologies: FACS, transcriptome, molecular biology, real time microscopy. Send letter to Prof. Célia R. S. Garcia (email: cgarcia@usp.br ) if you are interested.
