Use Systemic Practice to Support Service Users

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Looked After Children service which works with service users between the age of 0-25

Highlights:

  • Use Systemic Practice to help support service users and their families - you will receive training on this.
  • The team work with service users between the age of 0-25 and will have the support of Leaving Care Coaches
  • Gain exposure to complex cases including CSE and Missing Children
  • Local Authority has developed a very effective system for information sharing between services providing you the information you need so you dont have to chase up other services or fill out cumbersome information request forms.
  • The team operate in a Pod which benefits from weekly supervision where cases are discussed as a group so you get support from all members of the team including senior managers.
  • Excellent opportunities to develop, those individuals who have a passion for CSE and specialist themes will provided specialist training and encouraged to take on more specialist positions around these issues.
  • Very stable management team, all of who have been with the Authority for a number of years
  • This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are looking to further develop their experience of working with another practice model as well as complex cases such as CSE and Missing Children. The Local Authority uses Systemic Practice -which you will receive training on - to help support service users and their families. Furthermore the team operates as a "Pod" to ensure that cases are provided a more holistic package of care and families are receiving support from dedicated professionals such as Mental Health Practitioners, who are a part of the team.

    As a member of the team you be holding a mixed caseload of service users between the age of 0-25 and will also have the opportunity to work on complex cases. The team also work closely with Care Leavers and you will have the support of a Leaving Care coach to help support those service user who are preparing for independent living
