We are currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Group of Biomedical Research in Digestive Tract Tumors at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute ( http://bit.ly/vhirgrouplink ), a large multidisciplinary institution, with more than 270 active research projects and over 800 publications in 2018 in all fields of biomedical research. We are located in Barcelona, a large Mediterranean city in northern Spain with many cultural and entertainment possibilities.

The candidate will work on an established research line ( http://bit.ly/1woSHyG ) focusing on the role of the small GTPase RHOA in gastric cancer. The project will involve the use of a variety of cell/molecular biology techniques including in vitro systems, animal models and large tumor collections.

THE CANDIDATE SHOULD:
  • Have a PhD degree in the field of biomedical research.
  • Have significant experience in the field of cancer research.
  • Have at least one original publication as a first author.
  • Experience working with animal models and postdoctoral experience in high profile international research organization, are desirable.


WE OFFER:
  • Postdoctoral position for two years, starting in Sept/Oct 2019
  • The gross salary will be euros 24,500 euros per year.
